China tops world’s shoe exporter with $53 billion, Vietnam ranks second

Data from the international Comtrade platform indicated that China, Vietnam and Italy occupied the top three global positions among shoe exporters last year.

According to Russia Today, the data indicated that the value of shoe exports in the world exceeded 154 billion dollars, with China’s exports occupying first place with a value of 53 billion dollars, followed by Vietnam with 20 billion dollars, and Italy with about 15 billion dollars.

Germany and Indonesia ranked fourth and fifth, with the value of Germany’s exports amounting to more than 11 billion dollars, and Indonesia’s 6 billion.

It should be noted that the list of the five largest shoe exporters in the world remains unchanged over the past nine years, with the exception of 2019, when France displaced Indonesia from fifth place.
