ACWA Power Faces Forced Halt in Noor 3 Morocco Project Operations, Projecting $47 Million Revenue Loss

ACWA Power revealed on Sunday that operations at the Noor 3 project in Morocco have been suspended due to a leakage in the Hot Molten Salts Tank. Following a preliminary analysis, the project is expected to face a forced outage until November 2024. Announced via “Tadawul” today, the company’s initial estimates project a revenue loss of approximately $47 million for the fiscal year 2024 due to this interruption. It’s important to note that ACWA Power holds a 75% stake in the affected project.
