Saudi Ministry of Commerce Reports 476,000 Commercial Records Owned by Women

According to the Ministry of Commerce, the number of commercial records for women-owned institutions and companies stood at 476,040 by the end of 2023. The announcement was made on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

The Riyadh region had the highest number of registered commercial records for women, with 124,107, followed by the Makkah region with 106,818. The Eastern Region came in third with 62,041 records, while the Asir region ranked fifth with 37,671.

Women’s commercial records were mainly concentrated in the sectors of wholesale and retail trade; information and communications technology; administrative services; professional, scientific, and technical activities; transportation and logistics services; real estate; and construction.
