Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Eng. Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi chaired the Kingdom’s delegation participating in the seventh ministerial consultative meeting of the Abu Dhabi Dialogue held in Dubai, UAE, on February 10-11.
The meeting, between Asian labor-sending and labor-receiving countries, drew 16 Gulf and Asian countries and several international organizations, private sector institutions, and civil society.
Al-Rajhi praised the Kingdom’s efforts to enhance cooperation between Asian countries sending and receiving laborers, and exchange experience and best practices that support the economy of labor markets, develop skills, and help countries keep pace with changes.
The meeting also reviewed the vocational accreditation initiative and highlighted the lessons learned, which help strengthen Abu Dhabi Dialogue member states’ efforts to address various challenges related to labor markets.
Al-Rajhi met with Bangladeshi State Minister for Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Shafiqur Chowdhury and Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Security of Nepal Sharat Bhandari, with whom he discussed cooperation, exchange of experience and expertise, and reviewed the Kingdom’s efforts and initiatives to improve the labor environment as per the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
