The main indices on Wall Street opened higher today, Thursday, after a wave of selling in the previous session that followed the Federal Reserve dispelling hopes for an imminent cut in interest rates, while the focus is now on economic data and business results of major technology companies issued later on Thursday.
According to Reuters, the Standard & Poor’s 500 index opened up 15.46 points, or 0.32%, to 4,861.11 points, and the Nasdaq Composite index rose 90.01 points, or 0.59%, to 15,254.02 points.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average advanced 25.04 points, or 0.07%, to 38,175.34 points.
