Saudi International Catering Conference Commences in Makkah

The Saudi International Catering Conference (SICC) and its accompanying exhibition, organized by the Makkah Chamber of Commerce, commenced Wednesday at the chamber’s headquarters for exhibitions and events.

The inauguration was attended by the Undersecretary of Makkah Region, Dr. Mushabab Al-Qahtani.

Spanning four days, the conference aims to provide a platform for participants and visitors to exchange expertise in the food industry and nutritional services provided to pilgrims. It also serves as an opportunity to learn about the latest services and technologies in the field.

Participants will have the chance to establish new profitable ventures, while local and international companies can share experiences in the food, beverage, and hospitality industry, along with its solutions.

The conference will focus on various topics, including nutrition during Hajj and Umrah, food safety, techniques for food preservation and protection against pollution, and health education.

Moreover, the conference will feature workshops conducted by specialists on logistics, waste recycling, restaurant management, entrepreneurship in the nutrition sector, and cost management.
