Wall Street opens mixed, focus turns to corporate earnings and economic data release
Major indices on Wall Street opened mixed on Tuesday as investors evaluated corporate earnings and awaited the release of economic data.
According to Reuters, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by 42.02 points, or 0.11%, to 37,959.79 points, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index rose by 6.37 points, or 0.13%, to 4,856.80 points.
The Nasdaq Composite Index also rose 31.13 points, or 0.20%, to 15,391.41 points.
