Meta spends $2.3 million on flights for Mark Zuckerberg during 2022

Private jet travel costs for Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and the company’s former chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg will hit levels of $6.6 million in 2022.

According to the Wall Street Journal, these levels represent a 55% increase since 2019, as covered by CNBC.

The cost of private flights for Zuckerberg alone will reach levels of $2.3 million in 2022, according to The Financial Times.

The Facebook co-founder’s private plane made about 28 flights in just two months this year, resulting in carbon emissions 17 times higher than the average for every American in the same period.

Meta also spent about $27 million on insurance procedures for Mark Zuckerberg during the year 2021, with $1.6 million on flights in the same period. In 2020, the company spent $1.8 million on flights for its CEO.
