Future Mineral Forum Forges Partnerships with Leading Research Institutions to Drive Sustainable Development

The Future Mineral Forum has forged new partnerships with leading research centers and institutions to explore the vital role of minerals in sustainable global development and transition to clean energy.

Partnerships were struck with Wood Mackenzie Consulting, Global AE and CRU Group. They complement the existing partnerships with the Development Partners Institute, Clario Corporation, the Center for Energy Studies of the Baker Institute for Public Policy at Rice University, and the Payne Institute at the Colorado School of Mines.

The upcoming third edition of the forum, in January, aims to increase the scope of global research and discussions on minerals and metals. It aims to offer dynamic perspectives that foster progress in the mining sector and metals industry.

The forum serves as a platform where investors and mineral specialists worldwide communicate, exchange knowledge and share experience.

The Future Mineral Forum and its accompanying ministerial meeting are global platforms for fostering cooperation and facilitating dialogue. They offer valuable insights into the sector’s sustainability, technical advancements, and social and economic impacts. These initiatives align with the four strategic initiatives established during the January 2023 ministerial meeting.

The initiatives encompass various aspects of the mining sector in the major mining region that encompasses 80 countries. These include development of strategies for critical minerals, leveraging modern technologies to produce green metals, establishing regional processing centers for these minerals, implementing sustainability standards to enhance community confidence, and creating centers of excellence to foster investment and build human capabilities in the mining field.
