Sources: OPEC to internal affairs before OPEC+ talks

A source at the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) said that the organization will hold an online meeting at 1000 GMT on Thursday, preceding the OPEC+ gathering later the same day to decide on oil production policy.

According to Reuters, the source said that the OPEC meeting, which will be held at the ministerial level at 1000 GMT online, is devoted to discussing the organization’s internal affairs and not production policy.

Monday’s draft agenda said OPEC+ ministers in an advisory committee called the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee would hold talks at 1300 GMT.

The agenda showed that this will be followed by a meeting of the full policy-making group at the level of OPEC+ ministers at 1400 GMT.
