ACWA Power Commences Commercial Operation for Hassyan Energy Production Complex Project in UAE

ACWA Power Company announced on Sunday that it has received the Plant Commercial Operation certificate for the 2,400 MW Hassyan Energy Project from the Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA) on November 23, 2023. This milestone marks the inclusion of the last 600 MW Power Unit, joining the three previously operational 600 MW Power Units in earlier stages.

According to the company’s statement on Tadawul today, ACWA Power holds a net stake of 26.95% in Hassyan Energy Phase 1, P.S.C.

The company further elucidated that the financial impact of achieving the full capacity will be reflected from the fourth quarter of 2023 onwards.
