Saudi Electricity Company participates in Saudi-China Energy Forum

The Saudi Electricity Company participated in the Saudi-China Energy Forum held in Beijing from October 19 to 20, 2023.
The Ministry of Energy supervised the forum, with the aim of leveraging advanced Chinese experiences in building power transmission networks and connecting different regions of the Kingdom using various technologies. The forum also emphasized the importance of smart network projects and electrical energy storage technologies.
During the forum, the company encouraged Chinese investors to invest in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s electricity and renewable energy sector projects. They also emphasized the need to increase the participation of Chinese contractors and investors in projects related to electrical energy production, transmission, and distribution. In line with these goals, the Saudi Electricity Company plans to invest approximately SAR 500 billion by 2030.
