SIDF Concludes Its Participation in the “Saudi Made” Exhibition

The Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF) concluded its participation in the “Saudi Made” exhibition, organized by the Saudi Export Development Authority, with the aim of marketing national goods and services to become the preferred choice locally and globally, as well as connecting supportive government entities with private sector facilities.

SIDF participation included a panel discussion led by H.H. the CEO of SIDF Prince Sultan bin Khalid Al Saud, titled “The Role of the Government Sector in Empowering Saudi Products”. In this session, H.H. discussed SIDF’s responsibilities in supporting local companies in the Industrial sector, its role in supporting local content, as well as the products and programs offered to industrial investors.

At the end of the panel discussion, His Excellency the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources and Chairman of SIDF’s Board of Directors, Mr. Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, and His Excellency the Minster of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Abdullah AlSwaha, honored SIDF, represented by the VP of Strategic Planning, Business Development, and Official Spokesperson of SIDF, Mr. Khalil Al-Nammari, for SIDF’s efforts in setting the standards for the “Saudi Technology” label announced during the exhibition and the consultations provided to the label, which reflect SIDF’s contributions to empowering industrial development in the Kingdom.

 

SIDF also participated in the exhibition with a main pavilion to introduce its products, programs, financial and advisory services, and initiatives aimed at developing the industrial sector in the Kingdom and improving its performance. Moreover, the Advisory Services Team Leader at SIDF Ms. Sara Al Sheikh, presented an introductory workshop on the consulting services provided by SIDF. These services encompass offering consultations to small and medium-sized enterprises concerning cost efficiency, manufacturing process efficiency, and market strategy improvement.

On the sidelines of the exhibition, SIDF signed a memorandum of understanding with the Saudi Export Development Authority to enhance the empowerment of the national industry to serve non-oil exports. H.H. the CEO of SIDF, Prince Sultan bin Khalid Al Saud, represented SIDF in signing the memorandum, while the CEO of the Saudi Export Development Authority, Eng. Abdulrahman bin Sulaiman Al-Thukair, represented SEDA.

The memorandum aims to connect the SIDF’s export-interested clients with the Saudi Export Development Authority and motivate them to benefit from the services of SEDA and export houses to enhance competitive quality and access international markets. The memorandum also aims to enable exporters and export house clients to benefit from the “Ask an Expert” initiative, through which SIDF provides technical consultations in various fields such as manufacturing, construction, and industrial safety.

The signing of the memorandum is part of the continuous efforts of SIDF to cooperate with both the public and private sectors to enhance the presence of the national industry in international markets and stimulate the growth of the industrial sector’s contribution to non-oil GDP.
