Tokyo shares soar on US gains, semiconductor rallies
Tokyo stocks jumped on Thursday, extending Wall Street rallies as semiconductor shares boosted the overall market.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index advanced 1.75 percent, or 558.15 points, to 32,494.66, while the broader Topix index added 1.50 percent, or 34.65 points, to 2,342.49.
