Deputy Industry Minister Visits Chinese Firms Producing Critical ‎Metals, EV Batteries

The Deputy Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Mining Affairs, Khalid bin Saleh Al-Mudaifer, visited several Chinese companies along with Turki Al Babtain, the Assistant Deputy for Mining Development, and other sector leaders. The purpose of the visits was to explore opportunities for enhancing bilateral cooperation in the mining and metallurgical industries.

During the ministry delegation’s visit to China, Al-Mudaifer had a meeting with the executive leadership of Tianshi Corporation at their headquarters on the outskirts of Shanghai. Additionally, the delegation visited the headquarters of North China Rare Earth in Baotou, as well as JL MAG and CATL.

The Deputy Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Mining Affairs also discussed the potential for cooperation between the Kingdom and China in integrating critical and strategic mineral supply chains for various industries. The discussions centered around attracting quality investments in modern and advanced metal industries, covering both mining and processing.
