Novartis to buy US pharma group Chinook Therapeutics for $3.5 billion
Switzerland’s Novartis said Monday that it reached a deal to buy the US biopharmaceutical group Chinook Therapeutics, a specialist in kidney treatments, for $3.5 billion, AFP reported.
The deal, which has been approved by both companies’ boards, could include $300 million in additional payments if several Chinook drugs in development are approved by regulators.
