The City of Madina is Open for Business

The City of Madina isn’t traditionally thought of as a business-centric city, at least not by those who have enjoyed the significance of tradition, history, and culture that has been cultivated throughout the area for centuries. The Prophet’s Mosque, the Quba Mosque, and Mount Uhud, are just a few of the staples that have constituted Madina as a historical and religiously significant destination, having long been a major center for Islamic learning and culture. After Mecca, it is the second holiest city in all of Islam, catering to pilgrims that come from around the world to worship and marvel at the sights and experiences Madina has to offer.

Madina is a place of peace, pilgrimage, spirituality, and tranquility, requiring a special touch in terms of development, economics, services, quality of life, and so on when compared to other cities. Because of the rise in tourism that has spread across the country (including a significant increase in Madina), there has been a rise in projects outside of the city’s center being supervised by the Municipality of Madina. Through a royal decree, Al Maqar Development and Development Company was established to be among the investment and development hubs for the city, whose endeavor is to improve the city’s infrastructure, economy, and services. Though Al Maqar isn’t alone in this venture, they’ve spearheaded projects which will improve infrastructure and services throughout the city, and there are others that Al Maqar have their finger on to assist the city’s growth. Entities such as Al Maqar and the variety of their programs aim to provide funding, attract investment, promote tourism, and play a strong role in improving the quality of life in the city of Madina and its surroundings.

To nourish the attraction of Muslims to the city, there is a housing and commercial development program that aims to make Madina a home rather than a pilgrimage destination, entitled the “Your Second Home” project. The properties being created are meant to satisfy the needs of Muslim families and will be conveniently located close to the Prophet’s Mosque, and though the project is currently in its early stages, it is continuously being marketed to Muslims worldwide. Housing is in development, but also in the pipe are shops, malls, cinemas, and healthcare facilities, all of which will be pivotal to long-term financial and economic growth, carefully and tastefully expanding sectors throughout the city.

All of the above will benefit current residents and also its visitors, any of the local museums in operation, and the local markets and businesses that currently pepper the city, as businesses can enjoy more residents to rely on their goods and services, and residents will have a greater selection of business to choose from for any purpose. For the city of Madina, this will create a competitive, healthy economy and ample opportunities for an improved quality of life.
