Zoujaj profits jump %104 to SAR 104 mln by the end of the year 2022

The net profit after zakat and tax of the National Glass Industries Company “Zoujaj” jumped to SAR 104 million during the year 2022, compared to SAR 51 million in 2021, at a rate of 104%. This came after today’s announcement of the annual financial results ending on 12-31-2022.

The operating loss amounted to SAR 11 million during the year ending in 2022, compared to a loss of SAR 13 million in the previous year, a decline of 19%.

Earnings per share in the current year amounted to SAR 3.17, compared to SAR 1.55 in the previous year.

The reason for net profit increase is mainly due to:

– Increase in the share of Profit from Joint venture companies operating in the float glass sector due to their better financial performance.

– Higher sales revenue and decrease in loss from glass container operations due to better financial performance.

The Company said that the comparative period figures re-classified to match with current year.
