The US Commerce Department said on Thursday that the United States had added 37 entities to its trade blacklist for activities that include making contributions to the Russian military, supporting the Chinese military, and facilitating or engaging in human rights abuses in Myanmar and China.
“When we identify entities that are of national security or foreign policy concern to the United States, we add them to the Entity List to ensure that we can scrutinize their transactions,” Thea Kindler, Assistant Secretary of State, said in a statement.
