Europe’s stock markets struggled in opening deals on Tuesday, after a downbeat session in Asia, AFP reported.
London’s benchmark FTSE 100 index slid 0.1 percent to 7,849.13 points compared with Monday’s close.Frankfurt’s DAX gained 0.1 percent to 15,144.11, while the Paris CAC 40 decreased 0.1 percent to 7,039.88.
Asian stocks mostly fell Tuesday after data showed China’s economy at its slowest pace in four decades last year, though traders remain hopeful about the country’s outlook as it emerges from years of debilitating zero-Covid measures.
