Themar losses decline to SR1.3 mln during first quarter of 2021, by 32%

Themar Development Holding Company recorded losses after zakat and tax of SR1.3 mln during the first quarter, compared to losses of SR1.94 mln in the same quarter of last year, a decrease of 32%. This came after today’s announcement of the preliminary financial results for the period ending on 03-31-2021 (3 months ).
The operating loss amounted to SR1.3 mln in the first quarter, compared to a loss of SR1.9 mln in the same quarter of the previous year, a decrease of 32%.
As for the total profit, it amounted to SR35 mln in the first quarter, compared to SR50 mln in the same quarter of the previous year, a decrease of 30%.
The loss per share in the current period amounted to 0.13 riyals, compared to a loss of 0.19 riyals in the same period last year.
The reason for the decrease in net loss during the current quarter compared to the same quarter of the previous year is due to:
1. Decrease in selling and marketing expenses.
2. Increase in other income.
The reason for the decrease in the net loss during the current quarter compared to the fourth quarter of 2020 is due to:
1. Decrease in selling and marketing expenses.
2. Increase in other income.
As stated in the report of the external auditor, the opinion of the external auditor and the basis for refraining from expressing the conclusion (attached)
The company said that certain reclassifications were made in comparative numbers to conform to the current period.
