Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman discusses with British Minister of ‎Business ways to enhance cooperation ‎

Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Energy, held a meeting in Riyadh with British Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Grant Shapps.

The two parties noted the relations between the two countries, and they also discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation in various fields of energy, and future opportunities in the sector through the memorandum of cooperation in the energy sector between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the government of the United Kingdom.

The two ministers discussed prospects for cooperation in the field of clean hydrogen, the development and localization of technologies related to carbon capture, transportation and storage, the exchange of experiences related to this field, and the development of relevant regulations and policies.

The two parties also discussed strengthening cooperation in the field of renewable energy, petrochemicals, power stations, and localization of components of the energy sector. They expressed their aspiration for the participation of companies from both sides in the implementation of many projects in this field.
