Lucid Motors production in 2022 exceeded company’s ‎expectations – CNBC

Lucid Motors, the maker of luxury electric cars, said it produced more than 7,100 cars in 2022, slightly more than expected. The company had told investors in August that it expected to produce between 6,000 and 7,000 cars for the full year.

Lucid Motors said in a statement, according to CNBC, that it produced 3,493 vehicles at its Arizona plant in the fourth quarter and delivered 1,932 vehicles, bringing its total production to 7,180 for the full year. Lucid’s total production in the last quarter increased by 53% compared to the third quarter, when it produced 2,282 “Sedan Air” sedans and delivered 1,398 cars.

Last November, the company warned of logistical challenges that might affect production.
