European stocks dip at open
European stock markets dropped at the open on Tuesday after a mixed Asian showing, as investors looked to key midterm elections in the United States, AFP reported.
London’s benchmark FTSE 100 index slid 0.5 percent to 7,257.48 points, compared with the closing level on Monday.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt’s DAX index lost 0.1 percent to 13,516.60 points and the Paris CAC 40 retreated 0.5 percent to 6,382.61.
