Saudi Energy Minister discusses investment opportunities in ‎Netherlands, Portugal, Indonesia ‎

Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Energy, held meetings via video conference with the Minister of Climate and Energy Policy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Rob Getten, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of the sister Republic of Indonesia, Arefin Tarrif, and with the Minister of Environment and Climate Action of the Republic of Portugal, Duarte Cordero. He discussed with them the importance of cooperation in various energy fields, such as clean hydrogen and renewable energy

In his meeting with the Minister of Environment and Climate Action of the Republic of Portugal, Duarte Cordero, they stressed the importance of supporting the stability of global oil markets by encouraging dialogue and cooperation between producing and consuming countries, and the need to ensure the security of energy supplies.

During the meeting, the two parties indicated that the Kingdom is a reliable partner and one of the countries exporting crude oil to Portugal, stressing the importance of cooperation in many energy fields, such as clean hydrogen and renewable energy, including the integration of the current produced from renewable energy in networks, and security International reliability, trade and interconnection of electrical systems.

The two ministers promised the energy transition is an important matter in addressing energy and climate challenges, which will be discussed more broadly at the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27) in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt.
