Saudi Energy Minister: Gap between crude, fuel prices is 60%

Saudi Arabia’s Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman said on Monday that inventing new kinds of fuel achieves sustainability in the aviation sector stressing that carbon emissions of the sector are just 2%.

He added on the sidelines of the Future Aviation Forum that energy is considered the main pillar of the aviation sector.

 Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman sees that the gap between crude prices and prices for jet fuel, diesel and gasoline was around 60% in some cases due to lack of investment in refining capacity.

Minister of Transport and Logistic Services Eng. Saleh Al-Jasser inaugurated today the Future Aviation Forum, which is organized by General Authority for Civil Aviation over three days at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center in Riyadh.

The Forum will see billion deals for the first time, as there are preparations to sign more than 50 deals and MOUs besides partnerships between public and private sectors.
