Transport Minister: Saudi Arabia plans to invest $100bln in Aviation by 2030

Minister of Transport and Logistic Services Eng. Saleh Al-Jasser said that Saudi Arabia plans to lure $100 billion investment to the Kingdom’s aviation sector by 2030.

The Minister announced today launching the national strategy for aviation which aims to launch 250 direct flights from and to the Kingdom in addition to tripling the air traffic.

This announcement comes on the sidelines of Future Aviation Forum which attended by a total of 60 countries’ representatives.

Al-Jasser inaugurated today the Future Aviation Forum, which is organized by General Authority for Civil Aviation over three days at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center in Riyadh.

The Forum will see billion deals for the first time, as there are preparations to sign more than 50 deals and MOUs besides partnerships between public and private sectors.
