Aramco profit surpasses Top 5 Energy companies

The Saudi Arabian Oil Company (“Aramco” or “the Company”) announced its full-year 2021 financial results, reporting that its profit jumped to SR 412.4 billion ($109.97 billion) from SR 184 billion or $49 billion in 2020.

Based on $110 billion in 2021, Aramco’s profit surpassed what five of the top energy companies in the world achieved.

Exxon Mobil profits rose to $23.04 billion in 2021, Shell profited $20.10 billion, Total made $16.03 billion, Chevron profited $15.63 billion, and BP achieved $7.60 billion.

All of the five energy companies’ profits totaled$82.4 billion, so Aramco’s profits surpassed this by 33.47%.

The company also declared a dividend of $18.8 billion for the fourth quarter, to be paid in Q1 2022. The Board of Directors also recommended that $4 billion in retained earnings be capitalized and bonus shares be distributed to shareholders, subject to required Extraordinary General Assembly and regulatory approvals.
