National carrier joins as a major partner, in the Huawei system, through a strategic accord

SAUDIA, Huawei Co-sign MoU to Upload SAUDIA App on the AppGallery

As part of its journey towards digital transformation, SAUDIA announced that it had co-signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Huawei Investment company, according to which the official application of the national air carrier SAUDIA will be included in the AppGallery store, as the official application delivery platform for Huawei, which is among the 3-largest application stores, in the world.

In addition to harnessing avenues of collaboration and expansion, in other digital products and services, such a partnership would allow the two leading brands to be more widely known to the public, in different continents.

Guests will be able to plan their trips, make reservations, complete all travel procedures and after-sales services, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and their preferred destination, from anywhere through the SAUDIA application, at avail on their smart devices from Huawei, where they will find a wide range of services and options more easily, quickly and efficiently, at their fingertips.

SAUDIA application has now become part of the Huawei host of applications, that offers its users a wide range of solutions, services and initiatives, focusing on customers and meet their needs, Captain Al-Kishi added to confirm.

“The MoU with Saudi Airlines is another example of the ongoing success of Huawei Mobile Services and AppGallery.

With the addition of the SAUDIA application to the AppGallery, we affirm our commitment to providing excellent experiences to our customers, in the Kingdom, as the new application will enable users to plan and book their trips, between Saudi Arabia and the world, with ease and comfort through their Huawei smart devices,” For his part, Bill Yu, CEO of Consumer Sector at Huawei Tech Investment Saudi Arabia remarked.

SAUDIA app was launched on December 28, 2021, and it was downloaded 126,000 times, in just 1st 24 hours, even before any announcement was released, with 1.3 million impressions in just over 3-day.

In addition, the memo of understanding includes the two parties’ cooperation, too, in several aspects, to provide the best user experience, providing continuous technical support, application updates, conducting joint marketing and promotion, as well as providing support across markets.
