Led by the “Made in Saudi Arabia”, which is a part among the initiatives of the Saudi Export Development Authority, as many as 42 Saudi firms, will participate in the activities of the Gulf Food Exhibition “Gulfood 2022”, to be held at the Dubai World Trade Center on 13-17 February 2022.
The showcase is considered among the largest dedicated international exhibitions, in the food industry, and for exploring growth prospects, in this field.
The participation of “Made in Saudi Arabia” in this important global event aims to stimulate national industries, encourage consumers to buy local goods, and develop and enhance the Kingdom’s exports to regional as well as global markets.
The point is that such exhibits are providing promising opportunities for companies, to expand their scope of businesses, and promoting their products locally, regionally and globally.
Food products in the Kingdom are among the industrial sectors, as the Kingdom’s exports have witnessed a significant increase in the sector, the Deputy Secretary-General for the Strategy and Planning Sector at the Saudi Export Development Authority, Eng. Abdulrahman Al-Othman, confirmed.
Percentage of the exports from the sector reached 10%, an estimated SR10.9 billion, from the 1st quarter through to 3rd quarter of 2021, stressing the service of participation in international exhibitions, among those provided by the Saudi Export Development Authority, contributing to promoting exports by facilitating the products’ displaying, in front of thousands of visitors, from different countries of the world.
It is worth noting that the Gulf Food Exhibition 2022 is considered the largest annual event, in the region, in terms of the field of food, with the participation of more than 2,500 regional and international companies.
It is an important opportunity to open wider prospects for products manufactured, in the Kingdom, and to empower and enable Saudi exports and their markets.
