Int’l Mining Conference Chronicles Mining Industry, in the Kingdom

International Mining Conference, recently concluded, in Riyadh, issued a book that chronicles the process of mining, in the Kingdom and monitors its recent developments, under the title: “Mining in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – Biography and Journey.

The introduction to the book dealt with the vision of “Kingdom 2030”, as it formed a new and strong platform for the promotion and development of the mining sector, in the Kingdom, under the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and HRH Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz.

It also dealt with the vision’s focus on exploiting the Kingdom’s mineral resources to enhance the national economy, diversify its sources, contribute to achieving comprehensive development throughout the Kingdom, and provide thousands of quality jobs for the sons and daughters of the Kingdom, with an emphasis on the element of sustainability and the development of the mining sector, in general.

With a goal of making the sector more comprehensive, diversified and capable of competing in global markets, and to be the 3rd pillar of the Saudi industry, along with the oil and petrochemical industries.
