The Communications and Information Technology Commission has launched the Digital Regulatory Academy, which will work to qualify national cadres with the regulators and the digital private sector, in partnership with international institutions, as part of its strategic roles, as a digital regulator with the highest rating for digital maturity, globally.
Through the establishment of the academy, the authority aims to achieve excellence and organizational maturity, expand the transition to the digital economy, in addition to bridging the gap between the regulatory environment and digital development, and keeping pace with the latest developments, in the field by qualifying human cadres specialized, in digital regulations.
The commission has established partnerships with leading international institutions such as the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the World Bank (WB), and the Regulatory Policy Institute (RPI), as well as various training agencies; to qualify the Academy’s participants, in accordance with the latest internationally best recognized practices, in this field, thus enabling the Kingdom’s transformation into a digital society and achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
It is noteworthy that the Communications Commission is working through several initiatives to develop and empower human cadres, in the field of digital regulations.
The final goal is to improve the services of the communications and information technology sector, enhance harmonization and integration between regulators of relevant sectors, build a balance between economic and social aspects, adopt a sustainable future regulatory outlook, and move communications and information technology services to new heights through its vision of a connected nation for a prosperous digital economy.
