Al-Hogail Meets with Visiting Djibouti Counterpart

Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing Majid Al-Hogail met with the Minister of Cities, Urban Planning and Housing of Djibouti Amna Abdi and accompanying delegation, currently on a visit to the Kingdom.

During the meeting, they discussed opportunities to promote joint cooperation between the two sides, ways to benefit from the programs and services provided by the ministry, in the municipality and housing sectors, other issues of common interest, and means to develop qualitative partnerships between the ministries, regarding housing programs and infrastructure projects, in the Republic of Djibouti.

In addition to reviewing successes achieved by the housing sector, in the Kingdom, in order to increase the percentage of Saudi household ownership from 47% to 60% within 4 years, by finding various housing options and services under the umbrella of the Housing Program – one of the programs of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

The meeting also dealt with the Ministry’s efforts in the housing sector to enhance market balance by enabling demand, increasing supply, developing related regulations and legislation, and facilitating the benefit of more than one million Saudi families, within easy and accessible electronic procedures, with the aim of realizing the percentage of Saudi families’ owning homes at 70% by 2030.
