The Saudi Chemical Holding company announced that it had signed an agreement with Eli Lilly, whereby the company will acquire all rights to dispense Tadalafil, better known as Cialis drug, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in its two capsule concentrations (5 mg as well as 20 mg.)
However, completion of the deal is conditional on obtaining approval from the relevant government regulator, the company announced, in a statement posted on Tadawul website.
Cialis is used to treat erectile dysfunction as well as to treat the signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (noncancerous enlargement of the prostate).
Aja Pharmaceutical Industries (Aja Pharma) will be among subsidiaries of the Saudi Chemical Holding company.
The Saudi Chemical co., through such an acquisition, would be the manufacturer and supplier of Cialis, in the Saudi marke.t
It explained that the annual sales of this product, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, are expected to reach nearly SR100 million ($26.7 million) per annum.
