Dates’ Products Join the Digital Trading Mainstream

National Center for Palms and Dates (NCPD) announced starting a digital shift, in its dealings with the beneficiaries, by presenting its programs and initiatives, at the International Dates Exhibition into fast-implementing electronic programs, enabling submitting applications from the online, in this regard.

The Saudi dates brand (trade mark), which is a quality stamp granted to farms and factories, indicating the product safety, can be obtained from the website, in addition to launching the digital academy for palms and dates, which transfers knowledge and improves agricultural practices through digital techniques.

The center launched the agricultural subsidies platform and the annual dates purchase program, which is a platform that provides the government subsidies with advice and best purchase programs. The digitally administered programs also include a path that shortens the time required to issue a phytosanitary certificate for holders of the Saudi dates mark.

Digital shift included the establishment of an e-commerce platform, for selling products bearing the Saudi dates’ mark, for wholesale and retail trade, locally and internationally.

There is another platform for the farmers’ market, as a marketing outlet for selling their dates with the Saudi dates mark in bulk, and another platform for agricultural services through which all the requirements of agricultural operations are provided, as well as how to use them on the platform.
