National Competitiveness Center Hold Workshop on Saber Platform

National Competitiveness Center held a virtual workshop on the “Saber” platform, in the presence of the Minister of Commerce, who is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Competitiveness Center Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi, the Deputy Minister of Commerce and CEO of the Center Dr. Iman Al-Mutairi, and the Governor of the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization Dr. Saad bin Othman Al-Qasabi and the participation of about 120 investors.

It dealt with the most prominent challenges facing investors, at the level of laws and regulations, in addition to procedural challenges on obtaining conformity certificates, and technical challenges on dealing with Saber platform, as well as reviewing the experiences and suggestions of the attendees and their ideas for developing the platform and its procedures.

Saber is an electronic platform that aims to raise the level of safe products, to reduce products that do not conform to the Saudi class recognized specifications.

The workshop comes in cooperation with the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization, within the framework of continuous communication with the private sector and the workshops implemented by the center in integration with government agencies, to monitor challenges, identify and analyze them, and propose solutions, in order that they may lead to enhancing the Kingdom’s competitiveness locally, regionally, and internationally.
