istry of Energy signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Singapore, aimed at developing cooperation in the fields of energy by promoting digital transformation and innovation, renewable energy technologies, energy efficiency, hydrogen technology, and carbon sequestration, use and storage through the circular carbon economy approach.

The memorandum was signed by the Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet and Acting Minister of Energy, Dr. Issam bin Saeed, Minister of Manpower and Second Minister of Commerce and Industry of Singapore, Dr. Tan Si Ling.

It includes promoting digital transformation and innovation, in the field of energy, and capacity building through training, exchanging information related to the energy sector, conducting joint research and working panel discussions, seminars, and multilateral conferences.

It is worth noting that the circular carbon economy initiative is one of the Kingdom’s initiatives, that aim to meet the challenges of climate change, as the concept of the circular economy of carbon is an integrated and comprehensive framework to address and manage the challenges arising from greenhouse gas emissions through four themes include (reduce, reuse, recycle, and remove.)
