SABIC Agri-Nutrients Provide Africa’s Market with Diversified, Sustainable Solutions

SABIC Agri-Nutrients company have presented a set of diverse and sustainable solutions, at the Strategic Forum for the International Fertilizer Association 2021, recently, held in Dubai.

It focused on the African market, as part of its international participation, to support the ability of the agricultural sector, there, to meet the requirements of security food.

On the occasion, Eng. Samir Al Abd Rabbo, Executive Vice President of Agri-Nutrients, at SABIC, member of the International Fertilizer Association Board of Directors, delivered a speech, stressing that Africa is one of the most important potential global suppliers of food, explaining that “the continent presents a huge growth opportunity for the agri-nutrient industry.

As that is an essential means of achieving food production goals, for the world’s population,” he added.

Africa remains a strategic market for SABIC Agri-Nutrients, pointing that: “SABIC Agri-Nutrients will accelerate its plans to provide more diversified and sustainable solutions, in the field of agri-nutrients, and expand its presence by providing outstanding value to its customers,” in Africa, he stated, especially, in attractive growth regions, such as Africa,” he concluded.

Commenting on the event, Fahad Al-Battar, President of SABIC Agri-Nutrients company, said: “The forum witnessed a high-level constructive dialogue, that included multiple parties, with a focus on Africa, as a market with high growth potential and the need to find innovative ways, to provide food, for its inhabitants and for the whole world, in the light of climate change and the transformation of food systems.”

It also highlighted the main recommendations of the United Nations Food Systems Summit and the Climate Change Conference (COP26).

Last year, SABIC announced the consolidation of its assets, in the field of agricultural nutrients, under one entity, which is (SABIC Agri-Nutrients company), and it transferred its all business departments and core competencies, in this field, to the new company, thus enhancing the level of flexibility and focusing, in its business.
