Including 1.46 mln women-investors, biggest number ever

Individual-owned Investment Portfolios’ Volume, at 10 mln -CMA Says

Total number of women investors, on the Saudi stock, has sharply risen to around 1.459 million, by the end of Q3, 2021, according to the Capital Market Authority (CMA).

Such a big number of women with investment portfolios, at Tadawul, the Middle East’s largest financial market, has increased by 43,000 women.

Women investors tally has jumped to an all-time high this year, at 1.416 million.

Compared to the same quarter of 2020, their number was 1.375 million, meaning that the number of women, investing in the stock market, climbed, roughly, by 84,000.

Male investors, in the Saudi stock exchange, on the other hand, grew to 4.287 million, up 117 thousand from the previous year’s figure of 4.17 million, and up, approximately 43 thousand over Q2, 2021’s figure of 4.244 million.

The total number of natural persons investing in the stock exchange reached 5.75 million, at the end of Q3, 2021, the highest level ever, while the total number of investment portfolios held by all stock market investors increased to 10.015 million, at the end of the third quarter of the year, up from 9.296 million the previous year.

In Q2, 2021, there were 9.196 million portfolios, compared to 9.196 million, at the same time last year.
