Arab News, the leading local and regional English newspaper, issued by the Saudi Research and Media Group – the largest Arab media group – announced its annual list, a 6-year tradition, in terms of the most influential business editors, in media, across the Arab world.
Among the shortlist list published is Mutlaq Al-Buqami, the Editor-in-chief of Maaal, the leading Saudi online business daily, who was chosen as one of the 3-most prominent journalists, in the domain of economic and business, across the Arab world media.
In addition to our colleague-cum boss Mutlaq Al-Buqami, who ranked 3rd, the list included: Jamil Al-Hajj, at the top of the list, then Raed Hamadeh from Al-Sharq TV, in the second place, then a media colleague specializing, in the oil sector, Wael Mahdi fourth, Lubna Bouza from Sky News ranked 5th, and then the media colleague Ghaleb Darwish.
Colleague Al-Buqami has a previous long-standing career experience, as he has worked, in Shams newspapers, as editor-in-chief, and before that as editor-in-chief with Arabic speaking Al-Sharq Al-Awast, the elder sister of Arab News and almost the flagship of Arab print papers.
Meanwhile, Al-Buqami began his media career by working for Al-Eqtisadiah, the first and leading daily newspaper, in the Kingdom, where he was a kind of on-job trainee, since he was an undergraduate, in the university.
It is noteworthy that Maaal online daily, was launched, in 2012, and mainly covers economic and technical developments, in the region.
Next month, Maaal will commemorate its 10th anniversary.
The daily’s website covers various sections, including news, analysis and opinion, in the fields of economy, news and developments, in financial and business markets.
