Since the very establishment of Roshan Real Estate Company, it has set two main goals: to implement its first residential projects, in order to raise citizens’ home ownership percentage, by offering the largest real estate projects, in the Kingdom, namely, the SEDRA District, containing as much as 30,000 housing units.
The second goal is the humanization of cities and housing, where an in-depth study of the real estate and housing sector, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has proven the absence of a human dimension, in housing, so that urban development becomes a means to meet demand and gains, devoid of human and social manifestations.
Roshan Company was developed from the concept of a comprehensive, social, humane residential environment, integrated services and mixed use, as it presented its first projects, or the SEDRA District, housing models.
One of the most important foundations of the SEDRA neighborhood project is “the luxury of living and providing the requirements for the Saudi family.”
The project provides more than 300 facilities and amenities that meet the various needs of community members, such as shopping centers (malls), sports clubs (gyms) pedestrian and bicycle paths.
Among the interests of Sidra neighborhood is focusing on the nature, which is one of the most important pillars of neighborhood design and planning.
The neighborhood includes gardens and green spaces, which constitute a large percentage of the residential neighborhood area, as well as the addition of the valley within the neighborhood, which gives a vital character to the harmony of nature within the community.
Roshan Real Estate did not neglect also the design of the first stage of Sidra neighborhood (the national urban heritage of each city), as the company preserved in its projects the urban heritage of the city of Riyadh, as an urban identity and a national history.
The company designed the project with an urban character and a Salmani architectural style inspired by architecture Najdiyah, which reflects the identity of the city of Riyadh.

Roshan was keen to enhance the design with a family hall on the upper floor in most of the designs, taking into account the culture of the community, with the interconnectedness of the family and its need for privacy, in addition to allowing the use of the entire basement floor for guests, if they are to be around.
The residential units also have large windows and great views from most of the rooms, noting that all rooms are provided with natural ventilation, including the maid’s room.
It is worth noting that Roshan Company, is wholly owned by the Public Investment Fund, as it is one of the largest real estate development companies, in the Kingdom, in terms of its projects volume, in the Kingdom.
Roshan Real Estate is developing residential neighborhoods throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, notably, in as many as 9-city, within four main regions of: Makkah, Riyadh, Eastern, and Asir.
