Saudi Space Authority, Airbus, in full Strategic Partnership

The Saudi Space Authority has announced a strategic partnership to develop human capabilities, in the space field, with Airbus, based on enhancing the exchange of knowledge and experiences between the two sides, developing human capabilities and adopting best practical and professional practices, in the space sector.

With also, the aim to raise the level of specialized practical know-how in the space sector for those interested and willing to learn space sciences among male and female students and workers in the space sector, through implementation of professional and qualifying professional programs and initiatives, with the help of experts specialized, in the field of space.

The strategic partnership comes to activate the what have been agreed upon, on the sidelines of the activities of the International Astronautical Conference 2022 IAC in Dubai, to prepare national cadres in this important field, with the aim of enriching the beneficiaries with global experiences, in the space sector and its industry, as well as enhancing job opportunities for trainees, in the field of space, and contributing in achieving the vision of the Kingdom 2030, through developing national human capabilities, qualifying them for the labor market and raising their participation..

The Saudi Space Authority aims to support professional and scientific development in the space sector, meet the need for qualified national cadres, and develop skills for those interested and workers in the space field, through the implementation of short, advanced, virtual and direct development programs and initiatives, contributing to supplying those interested in the field of space with skills in various space specializations.

The strategic partnership is an extension of the initiatives launched by the authority, earlier to qualify national cadres in the space sector, including the “Space Scholarship” program, through which the authority seeks to qualify and develop national cadres specialized in the fields of space and its technologies for the bachelor’s and master’s levels, in prestigious international universities, in addition to the initiative of the summer training camp “Go to Space”, which aims to qualify high school students in space sciences and technologies within 14-day, including courses and applied projects.
