SAMA Launches “The Joint Research Program” In Its Second Version

The Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) has launched on Monday the second version of the “Joint Research Program”. The program is based on collaboration and engagement in research of common interest to participants with different expertise.

The program comes in line with SAMA’s efforts to develop the economic and financial research environment due to its significance for the Saudi Vision 2030.

It also comes as part of SAMA’s social responsibility and its role in supporting the economic development. It is worthy to note that the first version of the program witnessed a wide response as the Central Bank received 226 research proposals.

The program cultivates research collaborations between SAMA’s researchers and external researchers, including academics, experts and specialists, in a way that would serve the national economy.

It covers eight main areas of study, namely: financial sector, financial stability, macroeconomics, foreign trade, private sector, labor market, the economics of energy and mining, and current issues.
