Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) Obtains ISO Certificate

Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) obtained the (ISO 27001 certificate) in the Information Security Management System (ISMS), at the level of all sectors and departments of the fund, in collaboration with the King Abdullah Institute for Research and Consulting Studies, after the application, investigation and comprehensive evaluation of all international standards and requirements for information security.

The certificate was issued by the Resource Company Inspections Canada Incorporated (RICI), accredited by the International Accreditation Service (IAS), and documented in the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) database.

Representative of RICI presented the ISO certificate, in a ceremony organized by the fund, at its headquarters, for this occasion, and the representative of the King Abdullah Institute for Research and Consulting Studies, attended the handover ceremony.

The fund’s obtaining this globally approved certificate is an evidence of the fund’s information security commitment to applying global standards, and the extent to which the sectors and departments, in the fund, are keen on that, fund’s CEO Sultan bin Abdulrahman Al-Murshed stressed.

He pointed out that the information security project in the fund works to ensure the confidentiality, accuracy and availability of information, in the information technology domain, as well as to raise the level of information exchange with other authorities and organizations.

“Receiving this international certificate is evidence of the fund’s commitment to the highest standards in security, confidentiality and information and risk management, which helps achieve the objectives of the fund and ensures the confidentiality and quality of information,” Director General of the Information Technology Department, Dr. Abdullah bin Fayez Al-Qarni remarked.
