Saudi Arabia has begun to reap the fruits of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 on the ground under effective, initiator and empowered leadership that works to transform plans into visible achievements, the minister of energy said.
Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Energy and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) said in a speech at the university’s ceremony on Thursday that since the launch of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, with the support and patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and with the guidance and follow-up of implementation by the Vision initiator , Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, “the Kingdom is undergoing a large series of transformations that include all economic and social fields.”
In the presence of Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Energy, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of KFUPM, and Prince Ahmed bin Fahd bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the Eastern Province, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals celebrated on Thursday the enrollment of the first batch of female students to study at the bachelor’s level.
The university has already started implementing this in the current semester, by enrolling female students to study at the bachelor’s level after it was limited to male students.
It is a step that opens broad horizons towards empowering Saudi women and supporting their participation in the civilizational development race that the Kingdom is engaged in at various levels, and achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
