For the 17th quarter, in a row, Institutional stake increases for 5th quarter

Individual Stock Exchange Sales, Larger than their Purchases

The net investment of Saudi individuals of all categories, in the major Saudi stock has been negative for the 17th quarter, in a row, indicating that their market sells have outpaced their purchases.

The institutions own the majority of the shares.

Saudi individual investors are divided into four groups by the Capital Market Authority, according to the monitoring: significant individual investors, individual investors, specialized individuals, and managed individual portfolios.

From the beginning of the year to the end of September, their total net investments in the Saudi stock exchange were minus SR24.07 billion, distributed as follows:

As much as SR14.18 billion were lost by large individual investors.

Individual investors with specialized skills lose SR9.22 billion and Individual portfolios were managed at a loss of SR355 million.

Individual investors are the last group, with a net worth of SR328 million.

Companies, investment funds, government organizations, and portfolios of managed institutions are the four types of Saudi institutions.

During the first nine months of this year, their net investments totaled SR12.22 billion, which were distributed as follows:

Companies have positive net investments of SR11.41 billion, investment funds have positive net investments of SR1.37 billion, government agencies have positive net investments of SR1.07 billion, and managed institutions’ portfolios have negative net investments of SR1.62 billion.
