The Digital Government Authority organized a ceremony to announce its policy and register the most prominent digital government platforms, under the patronage of the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, who is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Authority, Eng.
Eng. Al-Suwan valued the national achievements and digital excellence achieved by government platforms, and the concerted efforts through joint work and achieving integration between digital platforms and harmonizing government procedures.
He indicated that this step supports the regulation and governance of digital services business and improves the experience of beneficiaries through a system of digital government services that improves the experience of beneficiaries and contributes to integration between government agencies and the strengthening of joint cooperation among them.
Al-Suwayan announced the digital government policy that defines the directions of digital government to enable and accelerate the sustainable digital transformation of the government sector in the medium and long term.
Defining models of governance to achieve the goals of digital government, and raising the Kingdom’s rank on international indicators and the United Nations e-government development index, are among the objectives, he stated.
During the ceremony, a panel discussion was held entitled “Governance digital platforms .. orientation and impact” with the participation of some of the leaders of the digital transformation in government agencies, where the meeting discussed a number of topics ranging from organization, governance of government platforms, trends of digital government platforms to the road map and the aspirations of the government platforms to form government digital.
