Issuance of Investment Licenses Doubled, during the first half of 2021

The toll of investment licenses issued have doubled, during the first half of the year, compared to the same period, last year, the Ministry of Investment announced, adding that the number has reached 1,054, at the end of June, 2021, a rise of 108 per cent compared to the same period, last year.

Jointly issued licenses for Saudi as well as foreign investors reached 27 per cent, out of the overall licenses issued, in the first half of 2020, while it rose to 45, in the first half of 2021, the ministry explained.

The 2^ndQ of 2021 has experienced a considerable improvement at 21 per cent,

compared to the 1^StQ, in terms of issued licenses, it elaborated.

On the other hand, the retail sector ranked first, with a 24 per cent of licenses, followed by the industry sector with 20 per cent, according to the ministry’s report.
