Since ancient times, coffee has been associated with a symbol of comfort and pleasure. The desert community is more tied to coffee because it is related to behaviors and traditions, and it has evolved into a language and ceremonies practiced by the desert’s sons and sheikhs.
However, this did not stop it from spreading throughout the world’s societies.
This is how the picture of the person who drinks coffee was developed in the minds of many, if not the majority, that the person who drinks coffee has reached the previously indicated state of happiness.
This is one of the most important factors that contributed to the global development of cafés and coffee varieties.
A sea fisherman with dreary appearance and ragged clothes sits on the coast, sipping coffee, staring focused and meditating at the sea and enjoying the sound of its crashing waves, according to a hilarious story.
When a man approached him, he started thinking about him. So, the fisherman inquired, “Isn’t it possible to acquire a boat and sail away from the beach in order to capture more fish?” Yes, what is next,’ answered the fisherman.
“You earn money from selling fish to buy another boat and capture more fish,” the man explained. The hunter said, “Nice,” and then asked, “What’s next?” The man told him, “You’ll have a staff and a lot of boats with which you may start a fishing firm and open up new markets and frontiers in the maritime sector.”
What is next, said the hunter? The man replied to him, “After all this achievement, you are still enjoying life while sitting on the beach sipping coffee and gazing at the sea.” The fisherman laughed and said to him, “After all of this exhaustion and work, I’m going to sip coffee on the beach!” I am having fun without having to do anything!
This is not a call to idleness or laziness, but rather to reflection and conviction.
Your aspirations are more fulfilled, and the world is tamer when you are content. And always remember Al-words: Shafi’i’s:
Your sustenance is not diminished by deliberation…
And it does not add to the difficulty of obtaining food…
If you had a contented heart…
You and the owner of the world are alike…
One of the many amusing coincidences in my life taught me a valuable lesson that we cannot learn in schools or through books. I was in Cairo for business and attending a conference.
I agreed with some of my conference colleagues to go to the Al-Hussein district at night and have coffee at the iconic Al-Fishawi coffee shop.
The venue is packed at night with people and buzzing with art, selling, and talking, and coffee-servers’ cries can be heard with orders.
This nightlife disrupts all of life’s routines, and people-watching provides opportunities for meditation and thought. Not surprisingly, this atmosphere inspired great writers such as Taha Hussein to write their novels and books.
We went to our seats when the group convened… In the following article, we will continue the dialogue and events from the last one.
